By crafting our treats in the USA, we ensure quality you can trust while contributing to the communities that share our values of care, tradition, and responsibility.
Real ingredients, real care
Each Earth and Tail treat begins with a commitment to quality and compassion. We source our ingredients from trusted farms and fisheries that prioritize the well-being of their animals and the land they call home. Every step is guided by our belief that simple, honest practices lead to better treats for your dog.
Because your dog deserves nothing less than the best—naturally.
Unpacking earth & tail
No refrigeration is needed! The art of dehydration naturally preserves our treats and chews, making them shelf-stable for your convenience. Simply store them in a cool, dry place to maintain their freshness. Once opened, we recommend using treats within four weeks for optimal flavor and texture. Chews, on the other hand, can last six months or more when stored properly.
To avoid any issues like mold or pests, let chews air dry after use and steer clear of sealing them in plastic containers that might trap moisture. If you need longer storage, the fridge or freezer is an excellent option to keep products fresh. At Earth and Tail, we stand by every product we make — if you’re not 100% satisfied, contact us for a refund or replacement.
Most of our products are suitable for all life stages, but puppies often need extra supervision while chewing. Their growing teeth and developing jaws might find certain chews or dehydrated bones a bit challenging. Start with softer, easy-to-manage treats and chews, and observe your pup’s chewing behavior.
If it’s their first time with a chew, hold it for them during the session to guide proper chewing. Limit how much they consume initially to give their stomach time to adjust to the nutrient-rich ingredients. Supervise chew time closely to ensure safety, especially with dehydrated bones. If your puppy’s a gulper or a particular chew isn’t a good fit, don’t hesitate to reach out — we’ll make it right with our satisfaction guarantee.
Far from being waste, organ meat is a powerhouse of nutrition for carnivores like your dog. Packed with essential vitamins and minerals, organ meats play a critical role in supporting your dog’s overall health. While some organs act as filters in the body, they do not store toxins. Instead, they contribute to your dog’s vitality.
Because we source from ethical, pasture-raised farms, the organ meats we use are of the highest quality — clean, nutrient-dense, and designed to help your dog thrive. To learn more about the benefits of organ meat, check out the Nutritional Benefits section on each product page.
At Earth and Tail, our name reflects our mission. "Earth" represents the natural, ethical origins of our ingredients — rooted in sustainability, care, and stewardship. "Tail" honors the dogs we serve, whose joy, loyalty, and well-being inspire everything we do. Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you or your dog aren’t completely happy with a product, let us know. We’ll refund your purchase, including shipping costs, or offer a replacement. Simply contact us and provide details about the product. Refunds will be processed to your original method of payment, typically within 21 days, depending on your payment provider.
Introducing new treats and chews is simple with a few thoughtful steps. Start slow by giving your dog a small portion to allow their digestive system to adjust. Monitor their response to the new ingredients and chewing experience. Supervise chew time, especially if it’s their first time with a dehydrated chew or bone.
Match the chew to your dog’s chewing style — whether they’re a gentle nibbler or a determined chewer. For new chews, consider holding it during the first session to guide safe chewing. Always provide fresh water nearby and observe how your dog handles the treat. With a little patience, you’ll find the perfect match for their enjoyment and health.
